Cancellous Screw We offer a range of cancellous screws, which have been designed and created for the purpose of proper fixation of cancellous bone. These are mostly used in the metaphyses of long bones where cancellous bone is abundant. The screws have more widely spaced and have more deeply cut threads compared to cortical screw. As the cancellous bone is lesser in density than cortical bone, the screw threads cut their path in the bone when the screw is inserted due to the fact that the cancellous screws are self-tapping. The partially threaded cancellous screws are frequently used as lag screws for metaphyseal fractures.
